I’ve been traveling since I was 14. My first trip was to Perth, Australia, a place characterized by cobbled streets and salty, sweet ocean air. In 2008, I turned my love for places into my career by joining the Atlas Advertising team. Now, I spend my days falling in love with new communities and inviting readers to do the same.
Expertise
I’m mostly a writer, blogger and creative type, but I also have a long history with website coding, search engine marketing and various online technologies. In summary: I’m good at bringing the creative and technical aspects of online marketing together.
There’s a saying in Botswana, Africa that “once you have the sands of the Kalahari in your sandals, you can’t ever shake them out.” That’s how I feel about Africa. It’s under my skin in a way that only cold, clear, starlight nights and loping giraffe can be.
A Success Story
In 2008, I coordinated the team, programmed the site and spent long hours on the phone with Omaha, Nebraska in an effort to attract a major Yahoo! relocation to the city. In the end, Omaha won the relocation and Yahoo! re-purposed our proposal site to attract new talent to their new facility.
